Duties:

We are looking for an initiative-driven Communications Manager for our Southwest Region Office in Lacey, Washington.

As a member of our communications team, you’ll be joining a dynamic team that’s constantly pushing to create, innovate and lead. You’ll have the opportunity to lead communications for a wide variety of high-profile issues and projects.

We’re looking for a communications strategist.

  • Experience working and interviewing with print and broadcast news media.

  • Strong background in writing clearly, concisely, and creatively on deadline.
  • Processes large amounts of information and feedback to deliver impactful communications.
  • Assimilates new, complex information quickly and transforms it into compelling stories.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Crafts news that dynamically blends the web, social media and visuals.

Required Qualifications:

This position is open to candidates who qualify as a Communications Consultant 4 (CC4) or a Communications Consultant 5 (CC5). For those that qualify as a CC4, this will be considered an in-training position toward a CC5.

At the Communications Consultant 4 level (in training) – Pay Range 56 – ($4361.00 – $5715.00) Monthly

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or closely allied field; AND three (3) years of professional experience in journalism, communications or public relations.

Additional professional experience in communications, journalism, or public relations may substitute, year for year, for education.

At the Communications Consultant 5 level – (Goal Class) – Pay Range 62 – ($5053.00 – $6629.00) Monthly

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or closely allied field; AND four (4) years of professional experience in journalism, communications or public relations.

Additional professional experience in communications, journalism, or public relations may substitute, year for year, for education.
