Join IDF as we travel to Los Angeles for our fifth annual extended learning trip. We will learn about politics in Southern California, L.A’s intersectional housing/immigrant/economic justice movements, the growth of L.A.s transit system over the last 30 years, the entertainment industry and more. Many have opinions about LA, few know more than cliches about traffic, smog and celebrities. This trip will chip away at your superficial perception of LA and leave you with an appreciation of it’s many layers. Mendoza guaranteed!
As with our previous extended learning trips, this trip will be Thursday-Sunday, with programming on Friday and Saturday. The program cost will cover your hotel room and programming. Airfare is on your own.
New this year are optional group meals on Friday and Saturday. Our leading candidates are Guelaguetza which has some of the best Mexican food and mole in LA and the historic and restored Clifton’s Cafeteria.
