Cyrus Habib (IDF ’10) first Iranian-American elected to a state legislature

Cyrus Habib became the 5th IDF alum elected to the state legislature and the first Iranian-American elected ever to a state legislature.

Cyrus Habib became the first Iranian-American elected to state legislature when the Bellevue Democrat won his campaign for state representative in Washington’s 48th Legislative District. IDF '02 alum, Derek Kilmer won the Congressional seat vacated by Congressman Norm Dicks.
